I had to take things slowly with this since I'm in recovery mode from a surgery and my fingers aren't quite working right, which probably worked for the best. I'm actually thrilled with how this one turned out. I typically go for simplicity without backgrounds, but D just needed something dramatic in behind him to go with the dramatic pose.
I noticed that in the anime, everyone had this sharp pointy nose and dramatic features, so I wanted to keep that here, without going insane on it. And yes, I know D is a very stoic character, but drawing him without an expression of any sort I thought would take away from the pic, so he got an angry glare.
